Learning is a shared endeavor that students and teacher work on together. The class is a community of readers and writers.
1) Reader and Writer Bios
Both students and the teacher wrote about their views of reading and writing, their preferences (i.e. genre), how they have grown as a writer and what they want to improve on next.

2) Create-a-Character Quick Writes
Students used methods of indirect characterization to show the traits of a character they created. Then students shared and the class guessed the traits.
